Two brothers fight for the power in their late father's pharmacy company. Michael (Mart) is more of a business man whereas Spencer (C. Martin-Smith) is the innovative scientist. When Spencer discovers what promises to be an alround cure for every desease and the key to eternal life he wants to use this drug to the benefit of mankind. But Michael opposes his views, he wants to control who gets the drug, trying to make as much profit as possible. In secret Michael also uses the drug as he has discovered the first signs of the incurable illness his father died of. In a dramatic twist of events Spencer finds out that the drug doesn't really cure anything, on the contrary, after a while it even speeds up the illness. Michael knows about that as well soon enough ...

If we forget about the really unpleasant end we have to say that this is solid tv entertainment. Perhaps it's not spooky enough to live up to any X Files case, but it's still enjoyable. Of course for Martin fans the end is rather hard to bare ... even if his character might not deserve better, it's still a tough fate to rot away as a living corpse.
