| Summary | |||||
Alfred Cahill (Mart) is stabbed in a bar fight but instead of dying from that fatal wound he survives. This incident pushes the already mentally rather unstable man over the brink and now he believes that he was chosen by God to launch a crusade against evil. He slaugthers various prostitutes and pimps and when he finally threatens an old friend of MacLeod's girlfriend our Highlander (A. Paul) gets on the case. He finds Cahill and tries to explain to him what happened, that he is one of the immortals, but Cahill refuses to listen. Realizing that Cahill is completely nuts MacLeod goes for the drastic solution of the problem and chops off Cahill's head.

Well, that was a short life for an immortal, right? Poor Mart ... actually we have to say that we don't recognize our otherwise ever-so-understanding Highlander. It seems that he cultivates a profound dislike for Martin, perhaps he knows that he was asked to do the title role before anyone ever thought of Mr Paul??? Or perhaps he just noticed that Mart is much more good looking. Whatever, definitely he chooses a very simple way to handle the situation, poor Alfred had a terrible childhood after all, and who knows, in a hundred years or so they might be able to cure insanity. No, we are really disappointed by Mr MacLeod ... show some more understanding for one of your own!!!
