28.12.98 ... Martin's first episode of 'Eastenders' is broadcasted in the UK 26.10.98 ... Martin begins to work on the set of 'Eastenders' October 1998 ... As one can read in the current issue of OK magzine (10.10.98) Martin is writing on his autobiography. He's still editing it but his brother Gary told us that he already read a few passages and it will definitely be a book to look forward to. We keep you informed about release dates ect. 29.09.98 ... As reported in the English and Dutch media today Martin has landed a big coup by joining the most popular British soap 'Eastenders'. He will join the cast playing a character called Steve Owen, a bit of a rough guy in his early thirties who has a way with the ladies too 28.08.98 ... The first episode of 'Supply And Demand' is broadcasted on UK tv channel ITV 28.08.98 ... Martin takes off to LA to start work on a new film called 'Sugar Town'. It's directed by Allison Anders (of 'Gas Food Lodging' fame) and Mart plays a rock musician who's in a band with ... John Taylor of DuranDuran!!! Basicly the story is about four musicians who, during the 80s, played in quite famous bands, but now are not that successful anymore. So they decide to get together and form a sort of 'supergroup'. Unfortunately as time goes by they realize that they are actually too old now for this business. There is also a very famous name on the castlist, female lead is played by Rosanna Arquette 31.07.98 ... 'Monk Dawson' is released in the UK (for now London Westend only) 30.07.98 ... Gala premiere of 'Monk Dawson' at the Odeon Haymarket in London. It's not only visited by most of the cast, the director and the writer but also by a lot of family and friends ... so also Mr Gary Kemp comes along to support his brother and afterwards he is full of praise for his performance!!!
Summer 1998 ... Martin's own movie script for a thriller based on the real life gangster 'Mad' Frankie Frazer is all finished and he's trying to get finances together to start production. Summer 1998 ... 'Embrace Of The Vampire' is released as video for sale in the UK Summer 1998 ... Martin has just finished filming a new mini series for UK tv. It's called 'Supply And Demand' and Mart plays an undercover cop, Eddie McEwan, who works in conjunction with the SAS. For the third time Martin worked with director Waris Hussein, the same guy that also directed 'Glittering Prizes' and 'Murder Between Friends'. The whole thing was written by Lynda La Plant (of 'Prime Suspect' fame). According to Martin this series has everything, thrill, suspense and humour 09.06.98 ... 'The Bus Drivers Prayer' is broadcasted on UK tv channel ITV 04.04.98 ... Martin starts filming an episode for one of the UK's most popular tv series, 'The Bill'. The 30 minute episode is called 'The Bus Drivers Prayer' |
